WHAT IS MY HOUND WALKER

My Hound Walker is a venture that started out as a hobby. It has since become a serious passion of mine. Providing care for dogs when owners aren't able to (for whatever reason) is something I take pride in. So I developed a service that gives owners such as yourself an experienced dog handler in your community. I provide dog walking, dog sitting, or dog boarding (small dogs only) 7-days a week. Being an insured, professional animal lover (and former high school English teacher used to dealing with animals) makes My Hound Walker the perfect choice when deciding on your preferred dog handler.

WHY SHOULD I USE MY HOUND WALKER

Dogs require daily mental and physical activity to stay happy and healthy. My Hound Walker allows you to have the freedom you want without neglecting your dog's needs.

IS MY HOUND WALKER REALLY ON-DEMAND

Partly. If a time slot is filled, usually booking a walk around that time slot (30 minutes before or after your preferred time) will work.

WHEN ARE THE WALKER(S) AVAILABLE TO WALK MY DOG

Walks are available 24 hours everyday, including most holidays if requested far enough in advance. However, certain times may be booked by other owners. (Just try and book a little later or earlier!) Overnight walks and drop-in visits are available as special requests at an additional $10 per dog.

WHO WILL BE WALKING MY DOG

A hound walker with dog handling experience. Passionate animal lovers with a serious dedication to safety and well-being. We also have over 18 months experience with both WAG and Rover, plus decade's long experience with our own dogs.

HOW DO I KNOW MY DOG IS GETTING THE WALK THEY DESERVE

I use an APP similar to Rover's and WAG's GPS application. It tracks the walk, and allows me to pinpoint pee and poop spots. Additionally it allows me to write notes (during the walk) so you know your hound is in good hands. You will receive a text and an email of the report upon completion :)

IS MY DOG SAFE? DO YOU SCREEN YOUR DOG WALKERS

Yes! My Hound Walker's staff consists of all family members - literally speaking. Trust and safety is our top priority. We are also fully insured in case of those rare emergencies.

CAN I MEET THE HOUND WALKER FIRST

Yes! For recurring walks, you can schedule a meet-and-greet with the hound walker so you know your pup is in good hands.

WILL THE HOUND WALKER BE THE SAME PERSON DAILY

Yes, most likely.

WHAT IF I HAVE MORE THAN ONE DOG

If you have more than one dog in your household, we will walk all of them together upon request. Two dogs or more dogs in your household is half off per walk. The third dog is free.

WHAT IF MY DOGS HAS SPECIAL NEEDS

No problem. You can note any special needs or arrangements your dog requires in the final walk-booking screen.

DO YOU WALK WITH OTHER PETS

No, we don't pack walk your dog with other dogs, or do group discounts. My Hound Walker is a personal dog walking service and I only serve one customer at a time.

ARE OFF-WALK EXERCISES ALLOWED

All My Hound Walker walks are on-leash, unless you specifically request otherwise. Any off-leash activities are provided exclusively at the owner's risk, as My Hound Walker's insurance policy does not cover off-leash activities.

HOW MUCH DOES THE HOUND WALKER COST

Prices are listed in On-line booking. Discounts are provided in weekly options.

WHAT IF I'M NOT HOME

You can leave special instructions for the walker in the app if you have a preferred method of entry.

CAN A HOUND WALKER STAY OVERNIGHT TO WATCH MY PETS

Yes, additional rates may apply. Please ask your Hound Walker for more information.

IS MY HOME SAFE

Absolutely. I have walked for WAG and dog sat for Rover (and still do). I'm fully background checked, and my reputation is sterling!

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I USE MY HOUND WALKER

Each dog is unique. Most dogs require a 30-minute walk per day, however larger and more active breeds should get a 1 hour walk per day. I will provide a personal consult if needed.

IS MY HOUND WALKER INSURED

Yes, you can have some peace of mind! My insurance is an annual policy through Pet Care (and anyone who walks for My Hound Walker will be insured as well).
